Wow it has been a long time since I have been on this blog. Alot has changed with our family since Oct 07. So I will update you and hopefully not forget anything that has happened.
Lets see...
November 07- pretty quiet in Lawton Oklahoma. I did cook a very large Thanksgiving meal. Not to bad either as I remember. :)
December 07- My parents Debbie and Roger met Craig and I in Albuquerque NM to exchange gifts for Christmas. Craig had to work Christmas so we weren't able to take leave. Then some unfortunate events happened with Craigs grandma, so low and behold we were able to make it out to AZ afterall for Christmas. Good report that Craigs grandma returned to good health and pulled through like a trooper. I think it was all a good cospiracy to get us down to AZ, but hey I am not complaining.
Jan 08- Not much again to report on, weather sucks in Oklahoma and I had to learn to drive on ice...not much fun for an AZ born driver. At this time I am still working at the Animal Hospital. I even think I got promoted that month too.
Feb 08- Craig got word that he would be deploying in July. So we started getting all our stuff organized.
March 08- Craig finally turned 20. What a kid...lol :)
April 08- We started packing up and getting everything ready for the deployment. You never really know what all has to be organized until you sit down to do it all at once. Craziness!
May 08- Started to make plans for Craigs leave before he headed off to his deployment.
June 08- This was a very very busy month. Lets see we started off on the 8th our first wedding aniversary flying to Florida to spend a couple days there. We hung out with Valerie and Mehmet. They took us to eat Turkish food. Very good! I have to say I was very nervous at first to try it. We then hit all four disneyland parks in one day.... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT! My feet hurt so bad! But is was all worth it. From florida we flew to Arizona and spent a couple weeks there. Most of our time was spend hanging out with family and looking for homes. We didn't have any lucky finding one but our relator Kay Bell (after knowing me for only a couple days) invited me to move in with her. So that settled the plans of finding me a place to stay. We soon flew back to Oklahoma to spend the last couple days packing.
July 08- Craig I believe left on the 2nd, then I drove all the way back to Arizona by myself. I have to say it was a little nerve racking but also kinda fun. You don't really know how loud you can sing until you are in your car by yourself in the middle of nowwhere and you are tired. Lol.... and I have to admit I do not sing well. :) I got to AZ that same day and crashed at my parents place while they were at the cabin. I then moved in with Kay Bell, the kitties moved in with grammers and pop pop. I started helping Kay out with her relator business. Kinda fun actually. No one really knows how much work goes into a job like that until they are put to work. I then found another job working at Banner Baywood Hospital. Craig by then was doing whatever he was doing in Iraq.
Aug 08- Then was the month that I found my dream home. Yes it had to be built but it was mine. I signed the contract that month to start the building on Craigs and my first home. Very exciting time.
Sept 08- This month I turned 21. Very eventful day..... The process of the house being built had just begun and Craig was still in Iraq. Serving this fine country. I believe around this time my parents decieded that the grand kittys needed to live outside so my dad built them a very nice shelter outside. I was really worried cuz little Riley is kind of a baby when it comes to really acting like a cat, but low and behold they love it out there. Exspecailly Lina, what a wild child she is!
Oct 08- I was still working for Kay and for Banner. My days were pretty booked. I had 3 12 hour shifts right in a row, the fourth day I was dead and then the fifth and sixth day I was working on house stuff, or just trying to relax and get ready for another 3 grueling days at work.
Nov 08- Not much else was going on just work and relaxation for me, and work 24/7 for Craig
Dec 08- Craig had 2 surgerys in Iraq that did not go as planned as was medivaced back to the states. I waited for him to return to AZ for a couple weeks of leave. We rested and relaxed so we could start healing faster.
Jan 09- NEW YEAR BIG YEAR. We closed on our First home January 21st! YAY Craig and I are so excited. I moved everything in right away of course. Decorating a new house is so much fun! Craig was still stationed in Oklahoma, but we saw each other every other week. Traveling like crazy that month. Lina the Crazy cat deciede to climb a 2 1/2 story high tree, unfortunatley I was the one that had to climb up after her. Not the most fun moment. I swear that day Arizona actually had wind gust. But of course they only started when I was standing on the top rung of the ladder. : /
Febuary 09- Craig and I decided that I should move with him to Oklahoma while he is in the healing process. So of course I agreed..... whoppie Lawton oklahoma....again.... didn't I swear to never move back! What happened to that little promise.... lol oh well
March 09- Craig turned the big 21. For a birthday gift I went and got him a yellow lab. He had been talking for the last couple months about how he wanted one, exspecially so he could train him to go hunting. So I found a free one and went and picked him out. Craig named him Hex, but we just call him "X" for short. He really is a cute dog, that cats on the other hand dont think that is true. For Craigs birthday I also took him to a couple of events, the first was the Monster Truck Rally, and the second was WWE. Now I have to admit I was impressed with the Monster trucks, very cool and very loud. But with WWE..... not so much. I don't understand whats such the big deal on that one. I don't think I will ever understand. Then at the end of March I happened across a classified ad of a make shift dog shelter in a near by town that had just rescued some black labs. So guess what I went and got another one. This time I got a female. Her name is Elle, she was only 7 weeks old when we got her. So cute, and has the sweetest puppy dog face. Her and X fell in love the moment they laid eyes on each other. It is also good that we got her, because now X has a playmate, instead of torturing the kittys into "playingaka hissing and clawing" with him. We technically say that she is Matts dog, (matt is our roomate, craigs best friend) But since I am the one home all day I am the one taking care of them all.
April 09- Its only april 2nd so YAY I am finally caught up. It is about 1 am and I am up with the puppy, she just does not seem to want to settle down tonight. She was like this the first couple days that we had her but she started to calm down. So I think this is just her missing her litter mates tonight. Oh well, what can I do about it other than comfort her. Right now Craig is on duty so I am here at the house by myself. Thank goodness the weather is good, lately we have had a couple tornados, PS I DONT LIKE WEATHER. Other than that, that family is doing good. Craig seems to be healing a little bit at a time. I am here at the house most of the time, but I have plenty of stuff to do to keep me busy. Riley thinks he is King of the Cat tree and doesn't seem to get down during the day, but is plenty busy running around at night. I have learned to take the cats collars off so we can actually get some sleep with out hearing their stupid bells. Lina....well we like to call her Satans cat now, she hates the dogs, she hates being bothered, and loves to sleep onto of the plantshelves in the kitchen. But whatever makes her happy during the day that is fine. Cuz at night is when ner nice side comes out, and she just wants to cuddle with Craig and I. It softens our hearts each night for her so we dont kick her out the door. Hex is being a very good boy for being only 4 months old he has learned alot of new commands. He knows sit, stay, lay down, settle, play gentle, shake, and kennel. We are now trying roll over. Elle...well we have only had elle for about a week now so we have only gained a little bit of progress with her, we now are working on potty training, her name and sit. She has the knowledge of no and learned quickly that when I start yelling that she needs to stop whatever she is doing. So its a start. Lol its quite the full house here. It seems like during the day when I am home I have four kids to look after. I have two yound teenagers (lina and riley) see they are pretty easy, they only need you for food and a quick rub down if they are filling the need to be around. Then I have a toddler (hex) who thank goodness learned potty training very well but loves to put everything and anything into his mouth. What a boy. And last but not least a newborn (elle) She is not potty trained, has to be on a soft food diet, cries when she is tired, needs to go to the bathroom, oh and when she just wants some attention. I guess this is just preparing me for when Craig and I actually do have kids...... Well the baby is asleep now, so that means its time for me to hit the sack. I will keep the blog more up to date now that I have it going again.
